The Web3 digital identity provider Unstoppable Domains Inc. is partnering up with the developer of metaverse 3D avatars Ready Player Me to allow users to add their avatars to their Unstoppable profiles, the companies announced today.

Ready Player Me provides a platform that allows users to create 3D human-like avatars that can represent themselves in virtual worlds to provide identities that they can use to socialize in the metaverse, which is multiple interconnected virtual worlds and games.

Through a streamlined process, users can customize an avatar of themselves or upload a photo that will autogenerate an avatar with their likeness. They can then take these avatars with them and have a consistent identity between social spaces, games and other 3D environments and virtual reality apps.

Unstoppable Domains provides digital identity services that give users single-sign-in services for apps and websites using blockchain-based domain names and nonfungible tokens that they control. It also provides identity profiles for users so that users can own their digital identity.

Users who connect their Ready Player Me avatars to their Unstoppable profiles will be able to access more than 6,000 partner apps and games using their Unstoppable domain name, including popular metaverses such as Mona, Somnium Space and Spatial. In addition, Unstoppable has more than 650 integrated apps, games and metaverses that use Login with Unstoppable and thus would be able to use Ready Player Me’s avatar IDs from the profile and use the avatars in their apps.

“With the collaboration, Unstoppable’s users will be able to create their digital identity using the Ready Player Me avatar creator and use it in thousands of compatible apps and games, as well as dApps supported by Unstoppable Domains,” said Timmu Tõke, co-founder and chief executive of Ready Player Me.

Users will also gain access to a large number of Unstoppable Domains branded apparel that they can dress their avatars with and showcase. In addition, users can already choose between a wide variety of other wearables that can make their online identity more dynamic, personal and representative of themselves on the web and in virtual worlds.

By integrating Unstoppable Domains, users now are able to connect their visual digital identity in virtual worlds with their digital passports that allow them to access apps and metaverses. Thus opening Ready Player Me to even more audiences and apps than before.

“Together with Ready Player Me, we’re enhancing the metaverse experience by giving people a visual identity that they can bring with them to all their favorite metaverses,” said Sandy Carter, senior vice president of Unstoppable Domains.
